ADC DEVELOPMENT TO OVERSEE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAM

Ludhiana, March 16- 2021 (Iqbal Singh Rasulpur)-

To ensure registration of all eligible specially-abled beneficiaries under the Unique Disability Identity (UDID) scheme, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday directed the health officials to speed up the enrollment to ensure benefit to all specially-abled persons of the district. 

Presiding over a meeting held in Bachat Bhawan, Deputy Commissioner asked them to plan special camps to provide one-stop solution to all the beneficiaries with facilities like on-spot registration and medical examination by experts.

He said these camps would provide one-stop solution to all eligible beneficiaries with facilities like on-spot medical examination by expert physicians besides others.

Mr. Sharma said that specially-abled persons are an integral part of our society and no stone would be left unturned to serve them as it was the administration’s duty to provide them with the equal job and social security opportunities.

He also called upon specially-abled persons to carry their Aadhar card, Voter’s ID card, or any other age proof along with their passport size photo to get themselves registered for UDID cards.

The deputy commissioner mentioned that by using the UDID cards visually impaired persons could avail the benefit of the free bus traveling besides employment opportunities, and other necessary facilities.   

He said that during these camps, all the eligible beneficiaries must get all the requisite facilities under one roof and expert panels to conduct the physical examination of applicants would also remain present in the camps.

Mr Sharma added that Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Sandeep Kumar would oversee the implementation of the program. 

He also reviewed the progress of the other health programs and asked them to ensure people do not suffer any kind of problem in availing the service.

ASSERTS THAT THESE PROJECTS WOULD GIVE MAJOR PUSH TO HOLISITIC DEVELOPMENT OF LUDHIANA

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday called upon the officers to ensure timely completion of the ongoing developmental works initiated under various programs of the state government. 

Presiding over a meeting to review the pace of various ongoing projects here in Bachat Bhawan, Deputy Commissioner said that projects worth several crores were in the pipeline in the district.

He said that these development projects pertaining to Rural Development and Panchayat Department, water supply, Mandi Board, PWD and others would give the much-needed impetus to the overall development of the district.

He said that the officers must accord top priority to completion of these works within stipulated timeframe to facilitate the people in a big way. 

Deputy Commissioner also asked the departmental heads in the district to personally supervise the quality of the works. 

He added the sole motive of issuing grants for these works was to ensure that people could be benefitted from it and made it clear that any sort of callousness in completion of these works was totally unwarranted and undesirable.

He asked the officers to immediately submit its utilization certificates of completed works so that fresh grants could be issued to people for other works. He said that stern action would be taken against those officers who fail to submit the Utilization Certificate within 15 days.

ORDERS THEM TO SEND DAILY REPORTS ABOUT ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT UNDER TANDRUST PUNJAB MISSION

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday directed the officials of various departments to ensure effective implementation of Mission ‘Tandrust Punjab which is aimed to improve the state’s air, water quality, and safe food by working zealously.

Presiding over a meeting with the officials of various departments including health, agriculture, transport,  horticulture, Public Works Department, Water supply and sanitation, Cooperative, Sports, forest and others, Sharma asked them to send the report about activities carried out by their departments under Tandrust Punjab Mission daily by evening to his office. 

He told that the benefits of activities should reach the grass root level to make the mission a huge success in the district.

The deputy commissioner asked health department and Mandi Board to develop sources who can give tip-off about those who indulge in food adulteration and artificial ripening of the fruits which poses a serious danger to human health and raids must be carried out on a routine basis. He also directed agriculture department to intensify checking drives against fake pesticides and poor quality fertilizers.

He further told the transport department to ensure regular checking of vehicular pollution, pressure horns in buses. The Deputy Commissioner said that all the departments must work collectively to ensure the success of this program.

ਕੋਵਿਡ ਦੇ ਵੱਧਦੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜਰ ਅੱਜ ਸਿਵਿਲ ਸਰਜਨ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸੰਘਣੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਅ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲ ਰਹੇ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਵੀਡ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਰਨ।

ਜਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਵੇਅਰਨੈਸ ਟੀਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ (ਵੈਨ) ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਤਕ ਐਡਰੈਸ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ 'ਤੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਇੱਕਠ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ.

ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਜੀਵਨ ਕੱਕੜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਅਨਜਾਣ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਾ ਆਦਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਦੇ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਹ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਕੋਈ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੱਕੜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮਾਸਕ ਪਾਕੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ, ਹੱਥ ਧੋਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਦੂਰੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣੀ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਾਇਦੇ ਲਈ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਲਾ ਮਾਸ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਫਸਰ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਵਿਡ ਕੇਸ ਘਟਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਲਿਆ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਹੁਣ ਸਮਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਬਦਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਕਰਮਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਪੋਜ਼ਟਿਵ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਣਜਾਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਇਹ ਸੁਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਹਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ।

ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ।
