Ludhiana, March 19-2021-(Iqbal Singh Rasulpur)-

With the Ludhiana witnessing an uptick in Covid cases, Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu today said that the district administration has already stepped up its efforts to contain pandemic and has been putting a strong fight against the pathogen. 

Participating in a video conference with Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to review the Covid-19 preparedness and minimise the loss of lives in the crisis, Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu said the district administration is fully prepared to address the surge and fighting the pandemic at the forefront.He said the administration has already ordered the health department to work on testing, treating and tracing, the golden standard to curb this infectious disease. 

He said that the administration has already scaled up testing, ramped up infrastructure for best quality treatment to the patients besides has been tracing more than 10 contracts of each positive case in the state as soon as possible to stem the spread. 

Ashu told that additional funds have already pumped in for the administration to tackle the surge effectively including arrangement of oxygen, beds and other requisite infrastructure. He urged the people to support administration wholeheartedly and not to hesitate and report to the doctors immediately if they have any kind of flu-like symptoms so that the spread of the Covid-19 can be halted without further loss of any life.

The Minister told that the next three weeks are very much crucial to combat the spike in Covid cases and appealed the people to remain vigilant besides following the health safety protocols meticulously especially two-yard physical distancing, masking and hand hygiene. He also appealed to the people not to fall prey to any kind of canards being spread through social media regarding vaccination and all eligible must come forward for the jab immediately to help in breaking the transmission cycle of virus. Prominent among present occasion included Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Civil Surgeon Dr Sukhjeevan Kakkar and others.

ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਆਰਡੀਨੈਂਸ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਢੇ ਪੰਜ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੜਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਠੰਢ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀ.ਟੀ.ਰੋੜ, ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਡਰਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੋਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੜੀਅਲ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਰਡੀਨੈਂਸ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ । ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਟੱਸ ਤੋਂ ਮੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ, ਬੀਬੀਆਂ, ਭੈਣਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਗਰਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦਿਨੋਂ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਕਿਸਾਨ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦਿਨੋਂ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਦੇਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂਤਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗੁੱਝੀਆਂ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਗੁੰਡਾਗਰਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਚ ਗੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁੰਡਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ 302 ਦੇ ਪਰਚੇ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ । ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਟਕਸਾਲੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਮੱਖਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਾਜੀ ਦਾ ਨਹੀ ਆਪਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਰਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ, ਜਾਤ- ਪਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਆਰਡੀਨੈਂਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਕੇ ਸਘੰਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਕਰੀਏ। 30 ਕਿਸਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਾਰੂ ਖੇਤੀ ਆਰਡੀਨੈਂਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸੈਂਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਮਰਾਏਦਾਰ ਪੱਖੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਬਾਨੀ ਅਡਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਨੱਚ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਰੀ ਪੁਗਾਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਖੇਤੀਬਾਡ਼ੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਾਕਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ।ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਕਿਸਾਨ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੱਖਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਇਸ ਜਨ ਹਿੱਤ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਮੰਦ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹਰ ਫਰੰਟ ਤੇ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫੇਲ੍ਹ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਰਡੀਨੈਂਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ! ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਕਤ ਹੈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਹ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਇਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਓ ਆਪਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੀਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਬੱਚੇ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ, ਮਾਤਾ, ਭੈਣਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸਘੰਰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਰੋਲ ਨਿਭਾਅ ਰਹੀਆਂ ।

WARNS OF TOUGHER MEASURES, WITH MORE CURBS, IN NEXT FEW DAYS TO TACKLE `DANGEROUS’ COVID SITUATION

Chandigarh, March 18-2021 (Iqbal Singh Rasulpur)-

Warning of several more tough measures and restrictions over the next few days, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday announced 2-hour extension in the night curfew in the state’s nine districts worst affected by Covid.

Night curfew will now be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m, instead of 11 p.m to 5 am, in the districts of Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Mohali, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Ropar. All these districts are reporting more than 100 cases daily. The announcement came as Punjab’s daily cases shot up to 2039 cases with 35 deaths on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference to mark the completion of four years of his government, the Chief Minister said the Covid situation in the state was critical and he was going to be tough.

Several stringent measures, including restrictions on gatherings, will be announced after discussions with the state government’s expert Covid team over the next couple of days, he said. Whether these will include restrictions on political gatherings was also something that will be decided as per the medical expert team’s advice, he added.

“I won’t be easy on the people.” People may not like it, but it’s my duty, he said, adding that he hoped the daily case load won’t cross 3000, as projected by some experts. He also expressed the hope that all Punjabis will cooperate and adhere to the restrictions. “For God’s sake, save the lives of Punjabis,” he urged citizens.

With 283 Covid patients in high-dependency units (on Oxygen) and another 27 on ventilators, the situation is dangerous, said Captain Amarinder, urging people to go to the doctor and get themselves tested even if they feel slightly unwell. The problem was people were going to hospitals too late, he said. He appealed to all citizens to wear masks and maintain social distance, warning that penalties may also be enhanced if required.

While his government was taking all possible measures to check the spread of the virus, the Chief Minister hoped the Centre would accept his suggestion (submitted at the Prime Minister’s meeting yesterday) on opening up the vaccination to younger people in the worst hit areas and also to all those in public dealing.

To a question on Himachal Pradesh CM’s statement seeking curbs on people coming in from Punjab for pilgrimage and religious purposes, Captain Amarinder said he was not in favour of restricting religious movement. But the Covid problem needs to be controlled, and an appropriate decision will be taken when he gets a formal letter from the chief minister of the neighbouring state on this issue.

Meanwhile, Captain Amarinder Singh disclosed that he had called up SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who has tested positive for Covid and was then in Fortis Mohali, to offer any help in his treatment. Sukhbir was subsequently shifted to Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon. The Chief Minister hoped Sukhbir would recover soon, as would several of his own cabinet colleagues, party MLAs and officials.

 In a move to strengthen its medical and health care infrastructure to deal with the spike in covid cases in the fresh wave, the Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal on Thursday directed the private hospitals to augment its bed capacity without any delay.

Further, they have also ordered them to defer elective surgeries for time being to ensure bed availability to the critical patients in view of the surge in caseload.

The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that there is an immediate need to increase the bed capacity to deal with the second wave by ensuring quality treatment to the patients and reducing mortality.

They further said that administration has also constituted teams to conduct the audit of the bed capacity which these teams would start from Saturday.

Presiding over a meeting with private health institutions, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police told that next fortnight is crucial to contain pathogen immediately.

They said that the bed capacity must be increased immediately as equal it was earlier to ensure every patient gets bed and

best possible care.

They said that the priority was to take care of old and vulnerable population with co-morbidities that were at high risk of developing severe illness and appealed the people to don’t take the flu-like symptoms lightly and contact the doctors soon.

They said that the people should not get panicky as more cases were reported in the city due to aggressive testing.

They appealed the people to strictly adhere to masking, social distancing and washing hands frequently.

They added that as per experts, the second wave of contagion is more intense so that the district administration is duty-bound to ensure the availability of an adequate number of beds with ICU facilities and oxygen support to save each and every life.

They stated that the administration is ready to tackle the second wave effectively and all possible measures are being taken to control the situation.

They reiterated that district administration was fully equipped with resources and manpower to combat Covid-19 second wave and no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause adding that war against novel Coronavirus would be won with the support of people, who could contribute their share by strictly following the Covid Safety protocols including wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and washing hands frequently.

Further, they urged all eligible to get Covid jab immediately which will prevent the virus to spread further.

 ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਤੋਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹਿਬਲ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਧਰਨੇ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਢਾਹੇ ਗਏ ਅੱਤਿਆਚਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੋ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਐੱਸਆਈਟੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ 9 ਚਲਾਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ 'ਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਜਦਕਿ ਇਕ ਚਲਾਨ ਆਉਣਾ ਅਜੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਚਲਾਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਐੱਸਆਈਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਆਈਜੀ ਕੁੰਵਰਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਟਾਰਨੀ ਰਜਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਸ਼ੋਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਪ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਟਾਰਨੀ ਪੰਕਜ ਤਨੇਜਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰੱੈਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਲਗਪਗ 2 ਸਾਲ ਚੱਲੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ, ਉਹ ਅਦਾਲਤ 'ਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਕੁੰਵਰਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਇਆ-ਧਮਕਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜ਼ਲੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀ ਛੱਡੀ, ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਐਨਾ ਕੁ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਖ਼ੁਲਾਸਾ ਅਗਾਮੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਜਾਂਚ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਡੇਰਾ ਸਿਰਸਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਰਾਮ ਰਹੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਰੀਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੇਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਗੋਲ਼ੀ ਕਾਂਡ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਗੋਲ਼ੀ ਕਾਂਡ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ 'ਚ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਕੋਲ ਗ੍ਹਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਕਤ ਕੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਐਸਆਈਟੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਅਦਾਲਤ 'ਚ ਕੋਈ ਚਲਾਨ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਈਜੀ ਕੁੰਵਰਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਅਕਸ਼ੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪੁੱਛ-ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਂਚ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਸਬੂਤ, ਹਲਫ਼ੀਆ ਬਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਸ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
