The foundation stone of the library building in Butahari, the ancestral village of Anu Manch Chairman and Editor of 'Anu' Mini Patrika, was laid by baby 'Sanayat Kailey' with her kar-kalas. At this time, the entire family of Surinder Kailey and Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur participated. Renowned poet Bhai Manjit Singh said that the laying of the foundation stone of the library by Surinder Kailey's granddaughter will connect the girl with her roots and in the future, she will be connected to her people through the library. Baby Sanayat, who is a primary school student, is also a talented artist and writer whose works continue to adorn newspapers and magazines.
Sarpanch Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, while giving good wishes on behalf of the Panchayat, said that former Sarpanch Mr. Surinder Kailey has been working for the betterment of the village since the beginning. The residents of the town highly appreciate him for donating books to the school libraries every year and honoring talented students by giving literary books. He had established a library in the village in 1978 which was inaugurated by the then Deputy Commissioner Mr. N. S. Rattan. Mr. Harjit Singh, a leading member of the village and youth council, assured full support from the entire youth council for the initiative of donating land for the betterment of the village and constructing a library building on behalf of Surinder Kailey's family and said that this library will prove to be a blessing for the residents of the town, especially the students. Finally, Mr. Babbar Kailey (son of Mr. Surinder Kailey) said on behalf of the family that the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the library has been kept limited to the family. He thanked Mrs. Rupinder Kaur Sarpanch and others for joining as special guests and Bhai Manjit Singh, Harjit Singh and the administrative assistants and said that our family will always strive for the betterment of the village.
