PUNJAB GOVERNMENT'S WATCH ON ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

Chandighar, June 2020 (B.S SHARMA,RANA SHEIKH DAULAT) The next day of the announcement of forming a special investigation team in the case of illegal liquor business, CM Captain Amarinder Singh set up an Excise Reform Group to break the nexus between producers, wholesalers and groceries on illegal activities and tightening announced.Thease 5-member group has been asked to submit its recommendations within 60 days to break the business's nexus so that illegal sale of liquor can be stopped and the state's excise revenue can increase.The group includes Housing and Urban Development Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Public Works Minister Vijay Inder Singla, Service-Free IAS Officer DS Kalla, Advisor Financial Source VK Garg and Secretary School Education Krishna Kumar.
