Arrangement at contact centers for the elderly who cannot register The vaccination program will be started from March 1 in the private and government hospitals of the city to prevent corona. Corona vaccine will be installed in 12 private hospitals of Tricity and 15 government hospitals in Chandigarh. Dr. Amandeep Kang, the Nodal Officer of the Director Health Services and Corona Vaccine Program, said that if more number of people come for vaccination then about 15 contact centers have also been identified where the vaccine can be placed. Pre-serious people aged 45 years or older and elderly people in their 60s will start getting vaccinated. The rate of Rs 250 vaccine has been fixed by the Health Ministry. In this, private hospital will charge 100 rupees as service charge, the remaining money will go to the government account.
Vaccination will be free in government hospitals. Dr. Kang said that the government has decided to continue the registration for health care workers and frontline workers right now. Therefore, the condition of the mopup period will not apply to them at the moment. If they get the vaccination done in the government hospital, then it will be free, they will have to pay for the vaccination in the private hospital.
