The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) (General) Amarjit Bains on Monday directed the revenue officers to achieve the set targets of collection of various recoveries before the end of current fiscal.
Chairing a review meeting here at the District Administrative Complex, Accompanied by ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh, ADC General Amarjit Bains unequivocally said that any sort of laxity in this work was totally unwarranted and undesirable.
He said that the desired targets must be achieved within the stipulated time period for which no stone should be left unturned.
Bains categorically said that the severe action would be taken against the officers who fail to perform their duty well.
Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the progress by revenue officers was being constantly monitored by the higher ups and strict action would be taken against erring officers.
He further said that the revenue officers were duty-bound to ensure the recovery of pending arrears from the wilful defaulters at the earliest.
Bains said that wilful defaulters should not be allowed to take the law for granted and every effort must be made to recover the pending arrears from them at the earliest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers to maximise field inspections in their respective jurisdiction to resolve the issues faced by the people.
Bains said that the officers were duty-bound to perform their duty diligently and any callousness in this would not be tolerated. He asked all the officers to perform their duty well and serve the people with full integrity.
