Though lockdown is essential for breaking chain of the virus infection, it leaves plight of hundred of thousand uncertain including those who are  stuck in various parts of the country away from their home/ state. These people are keen to go back to their homes in different cities of the country.The plight of the migrant workers has been no different. Etched in visuals of people walking alone, or with their families, friends or in groups from one city to another have been constantly surfacing during the lockdown. As various state governments are making efforts to facilitate the safe movement of migrants back home, many NGO's are playing their part in providing food, one of the prominent face in  Bollywood, Sonu Sood has personally stepped up to the task. He and his team  has been tirelessly working for arranging safe transit of  those workers back to their homes.His efforts are being appreciated by one and all.So far the actor ha managed to arrange buses to states like Karnataka, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with the required permissions at his own expenses. He has also set up a toll-free helpline  18001213711 on which people can seek his help. The actor has shared that his team will be answering every call they will get and provide the necessary help.  The actor has also approached and assured the people in distress via various Social Media handles.Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh's tweet  to Sonu Sood says “It fills me with immense pride whenever I read about my fellow Punjabis going beyond their call of duty to help those in need & this time it is our Moga boy  Sonu Sood who has been actively helping migrant workers by arranging for their food & transportation. Good work Sonu”. Sonu Sood replied back tweeting “Thank you so much for your kind words sir. You have always a been an inspiration for me. I promise to make our our fellow Punjabis proud.
