ਲੋਕਲ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਜਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਗੁਰਦਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਕੈਂਪ
ਲੂਟਨ, 16 ਮਈ ( ਅਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ) ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲੂਟਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੈਂਪ ਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ ਵਖ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਜਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਸਟਾਲ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿਮਟਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਲ ਨੰਬਰ 2 ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਲੱਗੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਟਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋੜ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਸਟੇਜਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਮਰਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦਿਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ । ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜਰ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹਨ ਕੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਉਣ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
A cancer awareness camp was organised at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Luton England.
The camp was organised by doctors working in the local surgeries along with other cancer organisations and was supported by Gurdwara Management.
Luton/London , May 16 (Amanjit Singh Khaira) Yesterday, a camp was organised at Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Luton England ,to raise awareness of cancer within local Punjabi community.Doctors from different local surgeries and representatives of different cancer related organisations set up information stalls and made people aware of the symptoms thar appear in the early stages of cancer.The devotees were able to get this important information from these stalls located in Hall No. 2 of Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Talking to our representative ,Dr. Vali told that there is a great need for people of the Punjabi community to be aware of the symptoms of early stages of cancer.He said women are coming forward to get information about cancer more and more but men are showing very little interest in it. While he asked the entire Punjabi community to come forward to become more aware of cancer, he especially requested men to get full information about cancer by talking to their GP. Talking to our representative, Chief Organizer Jasbir Singh said that the management of Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is fully aware of ,how they can help people of the Punjabi community to live a healthy life ,by making efforts to raise awareness about these deadly diseases.He also thanked all the members of the Punjabi community, the doctors and representatives of various cancer related organisations who participated in this Cancer awareness camp today.
