Gurdwara Bhat Sikh Council UK, condemn the act of BJP Government of India to hastily stop the "Sikh Jatha" on its way to Pakistan to commemorate the centenary of saka (massacre) Sri Nankana Sahib Ji, we strongly condemned the hurt inflicted on "Guru Nanak Nam Leva Sangat". It is true that the Government is responsible for the health and well-being of its citizens but issuing notices in such a short time raises some concerns, although full security has been assured by the government of Pakistan. According to the venerable Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh ji this is no less than an attack on Sikh religion and their unique existence.
The Indian farmers who have been sitting on the "Kishan Protest in Delhi" for a long time in this Covid 19 pandemic, in such a cold winter, shouldn't the Government of India be responsible for their health care wellbeing too?. This duplicitous policy of the Government of India and its hasty decision is questionable.
Gurdwara Bhat Sikh Council UK urges the Government of India to take the "Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee" into confidence in all decisions taken by the Government of India on religious matters of the Sikhs. It is hoped that the BJP government in India will look into this in the future and refrain from hurting the feelings of the people of the minority community and treat them as equal citizens of India too.
