E-CARDS CAN BE MADE THROUGH NEAREST CSCs' AND SUWIDHA CENTRE
ADMINISTRATION TO LAUNCH IEC-CUM-CARD GENERATION MOBILE VAN FOR SPEEDING UP ENROLMENT UNDER AB-SSBY

Ludhiana, February 18-2021(Jan Shakti News)-Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Thursday called upon yellow cardholder/accredited journalists, E-ration card beneficiaries, construction workers, small traders, and J-Farm holder farmers to take maximum benefit of the Punjab Government's ambitious cashless health program Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (AB-SSBY).
Deputy Commissioner said that they can enroll them and their family members under the program by just visiting nearby Common Service Centres (CSCs) or Suwidha Centres and they have to pay Rs 30 only per card generation. He said that they have to carry their Aadhar cards while visiting these establishments to take on-spot enrolment and E-card generation facilities.
Further, in a move to speed up the generation of the cards under the scheme to cover all listed beneficiaries, Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration will start an intensive awareness campaign through IEC-cum-Card Generation mobile van in Ludhiana.
Varinder Kumar Sharma also said that the van would be equipped with an audio-video system besides an e-card generation desk in it, will move in every area of the district to ensure maximum enrollment of the beneficiaries.
He said that this will prove vital in the sensitization of the masses and will help to increase the speed of the e-card generation.
Sharma directed the officials from Food, Civil and Supply, Mandi Board, Excise, Labour, rural development, and panchayat departments to ensure the targets can be achieved at the earliest by holding 130 camps, 10 each in 13 blocks of the district. The deputy commissioner also directed all the officials to work in a coordinated manner to make this scheme a mega success in the district.
The deputy commissioner said that people can seek cashless treatment up to Rs. Five lakh under the scheme.
Further, he mentioned that the list of impaneled hospitals and eligibility of the beneficiaries can be viewed at sha.punjab.gov.in. The scheme offers 1579 packages to the beneficiaries including 180 packages reserved for public hospitals of which 25 packages were referable to private hospitals, said the deputy commissioner.
He added that the Punjab Government has appointed Vidal Health Insurance TPA to carry out enrollment and E-card generation tasks.
