As part of year long celebrations commemorating fifty years of our glorious victory in 1971 war (Swarnim Vijay Varsh), four Victory Flames were lit on Vijay Divas (16 December 2020) at National War Memorial Delhi by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. These Victory Flames (Swarnim Vijay Mashaals) are being carried across the length and breadth of the country, signifying the valour and sacrifice of our soldiers which led to the historic victory in 1971 war.
The Swarnim Vijay Mashaal (Victory Flames) arrived at Ludhiana from Jalandhar today where it was received with due reverence and military honours by Station Commander, Dholewal Military Station in presence of 1971 war veterans and placed as Amar Jyoti in the Military Garrison. Gallantry awardees of 1971 war and Veterans were felicitated on the occasion.
