CITY GIRL NAMYA JOSHI RECEIVES PRADHAN MANTRI RASHTRIYA BAL PURUSKAR 2021

DEPUTY COMMISSIONER HONOURS NAMYA & HER PARENTS FOR THIS ACHIEVEMENT

Ludhiana girl Miss Namya Joshi (14) has been awarded with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar 2021. A resident of E-block of Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Namya is a student of class 8 at Sat Paul Mittal School of the city. Namya interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing facility from the Deputy Commissioner office Ludhiana. She was also accompanied by her father Kunal Joshi and mother Monica Joshi.

Namya Joshi has been awarded under scholastic/but awarded in innovation category.

The only child of her parents, Namya says that she wants to become an entrepreneur where she wants to make learning fun through technology. Namya who has conducted multiple Skype sessions for both teachers and students to initiate them into the use of Minecraft in classes, had also met Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on stage at the ‘Young Innovators’ Summit’ held at Delhi in February 2020.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma specially honoured Namya Joshi and her parents in the District Administrative Complex today and wished her good luck in her future life. He said that Ludhiana is proud of their daughters and several initiatives have been started by the Punjab government for the welfare of girl childs. He said that girls have always excelled in different fields and hopes that Namya would make entire country proud by her achievements.
